One Month in our #2yearRoadTrip
It’s been two weeks since we left Alberta, camper and trailer in tow.
Some of the best parts of this experience, which has been such a pleasant surprise, has been visiting with friends and business partners, new and old and having the flexibility to meet up with so many of them who have been inviting us to visit their parts of the country.
After a quick 3 day in Crow’s-nest Pass, getting back on my new bike (after breaking my hand on my first ride last October), and feeling the exhilaration of riding again, I knew we made the right decision.
How does one happen to go on a 2 year road trip?
My best answer is - Intention meets Opportunity.
Most people plan for something this big. I recently read an article on a couple that planned for a full year before making their two-year trip off the grid. For us, it wasn’t planned. I’ll admit, we had talked about the concept of having a window of time where we sold a house and waited to purchase the next one – a window where we had no commitments to a home, a location, a mortgage. Careful what you wish for they say.
